I wanted to write about my battle report being new to this game.  Hoping it would inspired some new players to this game.  (been playing since Feb).   Instead of my usual Khador army.  I am doing something different. 

Today, my girlfriend and I haven’t played Warmahorde over a week.  So, we played a short game.   I had Legion battle box army collecting dust.  So I wanted to give them a go against my girlfriend’s Cryx. 

Legion List

Vayl +6

Carnivean 11pts

Scythean 9pts

Serph 8pts

Spawning vessel (max) 3pts  (I regret taking them after I saw what she fielded)

Cryx List

Mortenebra +4

Deathjack 12pts

Seether 9pts

Helldiver 3pts

2 Bloat thralls 2pts each

Turn 1

We pretty much ran and get into position for turn 2.  Nothing really happened in here.

Now if you were there witnessing the fight in real life.  You would hear thunderous stomps from both side of the battle field.  One side, you hear beasts roaring at their most hated enemy, the Cryx.  Over to the Cryx’s side, you hear nothing, but steams fuming and armor clanking from the ‘jacks.

Turn 2 

Legion:

They moved into the middle of the board then cast some animus.   Setting up for an alpha strike and defense against Mort. 

Cryx:

The 2 ‘jacks threw the bloat thralls at my beasts.  1 deviated off to the side missing my Carny.  From the collateral damage, the unlucky bloat was able to survive (with only 2 hit boxes left)  The second bloat have been thrown by Deathjack, aimming at my Scythean.  Instead the bloat slammed against the wall.  Yet, that bloat was base to base to it’s target. Deathjack became excited from it’s successful action.  (G/f rolled low numbers for the collateral damage and that sucker lived with only 4 hit boxes.)  Then moved the rest of her army into position. 

Turn 3

Legion:

Scythean failed with his threshold check then went into a frenzy.  She sliced (its a female beast :P)  the bloat thrall with ease then took the pow 14 damage damage roll.  She only took a minor damage.   (I was thankful with that roll.  Of course, my g/f weren’t.)  Carny charged in and took out Mort’s attachment and wasn’t in range with Mort.  Seph flew over and shot at Seether and Seether didn’t suffer too much damage.  ”Curses!” Vassal is dancing around the battlefield. 

Cryx: 

After the control and maintenance phase.  Mort went first and casted Terminal Velocity, Spectral Steel, and activated her feat.  ”FML”.  Deathjack charged at Vayl and Vayl suffered multiple heavy blows from 4 attacks.  (With holding 3 fury pts, she only have 4 hit boxes). Thanks to my Scythean, she took all the damaged that she could withstand.  Vayl laughed at Deathjack for failing to kill her.  Her beloved beasts are ready to eat Mort.  Then off to the side. A lonely bloat thrall was able to hit Vayl from the deviation blast.  

As I sat there thinking the bloat thrall wouldn’t hit me.  I didn’t realized he had 12” range with it’s gun.  

Mort smirked and had her ‘jacks killed the rest of the Legion’s army.

This is my second time fighting against Mort.  I have learned, when you think you are out of range of any threat.  You are mistaken and you will regret it.  I need to learn how to position correctly.  Over time, I will get the hang of it and develop an eye for estimating distance.

This game looks beautiful.  After watching the sneak peak from the Introduction of Xbox One.  So much detail of the characters! Even with the dog!  WHat got me so impressed was the environments.  The jungle demo looks phenomenal   I cannot wait for future games.  I must continue working on my sculpting skills and understanding how to use the material shaders.

I started to watch Shingeki and I have to say, this show doesn’t hold any punches. I am shocked of what has happened to certain characters when I was getting attached to them. ( trying not spoil any plots for everyone) I am up to episode 6 and I am starting to read the manga. I cannot wait for for episode 7. I highly recommend people to watch this. For a warning, this show is gruesome. It made me cringed and jaw dropped in couple scenes.

I have this tumblr for a while and I mainly used it to follow some people.  I am somewhat afraid to blog of myself because of my grammar problems.  No more being afraid and intimidated! I want to blog and I am attempting TO DO THIS!!!!! XD

What am I going to blog about?  Mostly my hobbies.  I play Warmachine, Iron Kingdom, DnD, and I am also a digital artist.  That’s right!  I love 3D modeling and I am currently learning how to do composting. :)  For an example, this is my Beholder that I worked on. 

I used Maya to get my basic mesh.  Then I took it into Z-brush.  I had fun sculpting this beautiful creature.  lol.
